Surrounded by the beautiful grounds of the UNAM, as well as by its own landscaped lawns and trees, Emona offers a scenic and quiet atmosphere conducive to both studying and relaxing.
We want all of our residents to see Emona as their ‘home away from home’ - and so we’ve provided them with access to a range of services and facilities on the estate that will help to create a sense of community, routine and harmony.
When the weather’s fine and it’s time to hang out for a well-deserved break, you can take advantage of the 2 braai and social areas on the grounds – the ideal place to connect with fellow residents and make new friends.
There’s also a conveniently situated laundry at Emona which offers a choice between self-service coin-operated machines, or a drop, collect and pay service.
If you feel like grabbing a quick drink or snack on the go, you can pop over to the on-site tuck shop.
In addition to regularly cleaning and maintaining all communal residential areas in each of the blocks, our professional cleaning staff also provide bedroom cleaning services on request. But please note: bedrooms are the students' responsibility.
Because security is a top priority at Emona, we’ve installed innovative biometric systems at all res entrances, exits, blocks and floors. Security guards monitor the main entrance 24/7 and the entire property is also safely fenced off and monitored.
Should you have any complaints or queries, you’re always welcome to visit the Emona Admin Building which is on the grounds – the Resident Manager, Care Taker and Administration Staff are on-hand to help and assist in any way they can.
